The Josh McDaniels era for the Las Vegas Raiders was short but impactful. He was fired before his second season with the team was finished due to the players turning on him.
There's likely no love lost between the two sides. McDaniels took the 2024 season off, but he's going to be back on the sideline in 2025 as the offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.
Well, it's not going to take long for him to get a chance at revenge against his former team. According to Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, the Raiders are going to travel to New England to face the Patriots in Week 1 of the 2025 season.

This game is going to be ripe with storylines. It'll be Tom Brady's first time playing against the Patriots since buying an ownership stake in the Raiders. It will also be Mike Vrabel's first game as the Patriots' head coach.
However, the biggest story is going to be McDaniels' chance at a revenge game. Raiders fans are ready to see the former coach go down after a rough tenure in Las Vegas.

Raiders fans were not kind to McDaniels as soon as the news broke that he was going to get hired. While McDaniels may look at this as a revenge game, many Raiders fans feel the same way in the other direction.
