The New England Patriots have signed a former member of the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Pats on Wednesday [announced that they](https://www.patriots.com/news/patriots-sign-rb-trayveon-williams-and-release-dt-eric-johnson-ii) have signed running back Trayveon Williams, who spent the last six seasons with Cincinnati. Though he is listed as a running back, Williams has mostly made his impact as a special teams player.
A former sixth-round pick out of Texas A&M, Williams has returned 33 kicks for 743 yards (22.5 average) over the last three seasons. He has also made 14 tackles over the last four years.

Williams played in all 17 games for Cincinnati last season but did not accumulate any statistics as a running back or receiver. However, he has 62 attempts for 307 rushing yards in his career, as well as 15 catches for 74 yards.
The Patriots released Eric Johnson II to make room on their roster.
New England now has Treyveon Williams and Treveyon Henderson on their roster, and both play running back. Try not to get too confused.
