Lodge Kohler expecting booking frenzy after NFL schedule is released

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The NFL will release the remaining schedule for the upcoming football season at 7 p.m. A few Packers games are already announced with rumors trickling in on future dates.

The Packer games already confirmed: the green and gold taking on Super Bowl Champs the Philadelphia Eagles for Monday Night Football on November 10 and the Chicago Bears on December 20 in Chicago.

Fox Sports’ NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports that the Packers will open the season at home against long-time NFC North Rival Detroit Lions. It would be the first season opener at Lambeau Field for Head Coach Matt LaFleur.

A hotel across from Lambeau Field is getting ready to welcome fans from all over. Lodge Kohler in the Titletown district says a booking frenzy comes after the schedule release.

Coming off the heels of the NFL Draft, the hotel anticipates a high-volume of local and out-of-town fan seeking reservations. The hotel’s associate director of sales says he expects all those rooms to sell out for Packers home games.

“I would anticipate to sell out maybe 75 percent of our games. and then over the next course of 2 or three days, we’d probably see that I would say 95 percent of our inventory is filled up by that time,” said Jeff Overgaard, Associate Director of Sales, Lodge Kohler.

The hotel will be accepting room reservations for Packers game days after the NFL schedule is released.
