Rodrygo has been a regular starter for Real Madrid in recent years but there’s growing belief that the Brazilian international could leave the club at the end of this season, as per reports.

Last year, there were reports that Rodrygo wanted to leave but the winger very promptly came out and committed his future to Los Blancos. However, with a new manager set to come in, the 24-year-old reportedly wants an exit and Madrid won’t mind losing him if a club is willing to pay €100 million.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been the primary suitors for the Brazilian but PSG have also been linked with him. The two Premier League sides have been in touch with his agents but the French side are still observing the developments.

Should Arsenal or Liverpool spend €100 million on the 24-year-old?

Rodrygo is primarily a right-winger but the Brazilian can play in every position across the front line. This versatility is the main reason why Arsenal and Liverpool should go ahead and try to sign him.

Neither side needs a right winger because Arsenal have Bukayo Saka in their squad and Mo Salah has just signed a new contract with Liverpool.

However, Rodrygo has played numerous games as a centre-forward and a left-winger so he can easily replace someone like Gabriel Martinelli or Darwin Nunez. This season, he’s made 12 goal contributions in 12 appearances as a left-winger for Real Madrid.

The Brazilian international has scored 68 goals and provided 50 assists for Real Madrid and it won’t be a crime to pay €100 million for such a fine talent. Also, he is only 24 years old and is yet to reach his peak maturity.

Arsenal or Liverpool shouldn’t hesitate to pay up for Rodrygo but if PSG go on to win the Champions League, they will automatically be in pole position to sign the winger.

Is Rodrygo seriously considering leaving Real Madrid?

According to ESPN, Rodrygo is unhappy with his role at Madrid because he wants to play on the left-hand side and that’s the main reason why he wants to leave. Perez does not want to offload him in the summer but if the player is adamant about playing on the left flank, Real Madrid will have to let him go.

As long as Vinicius Jr is in the squad, there’s no way Rodrygo will be able to play on that side of the pitch. Only if Vini leaves for the Saudi Pro League, will his Brazilian teammate get the opportunity to move to that flank.
