It’s been a quiet couple of years for the Arizona Cardinals. While teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys seemingly earn five or six primetime games each season, the Cardinals rarely get any.
According to one report, that’s about to change.
Rumored schedule leak has Cardinals hosting Seahawks on Thursday Night Football
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bo Brack, an Arizona Cardinals insider, has [reported](https://x.com/BoBrack/status/1922517066910699860) that the Cardinals will host the Seattle Seahawks for Thursday Night Football in Week 4. This is the first rumored schedule leak related to the Cardinals made by any reputable source this offseason. Of course, we will have to wait for the official schedule release to confirm this rumor.
Over the last two years, the Cardinals have only played in one primetime game. It came in a close win over the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024. After building a competitive roster this offseason, Arizona was due for some more national recognition. Now, that may come in a nationally televised divisional battle.
The Cardinals are set up perfectly to dominate on the big stage. Even after drafting offensive lineman Grey Zabel in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Seahawks still have a major weakness up front. After adding Dalvin Tomlinson, Calais Campbell, and Walter Nolen this offseason, the Cardinals can exploit this weakness.
Arizona will have to execute on offense to take advantage of Seattle's weak secondary. Kyler Murray didn't get much help at all this offseason, as the Cardinals focused heavily on rebuilding their defense. Arizon has question marks along the offensive line and at wide receiver. Murray may have to create some magic to earn his team this win.
If Arizona can win the battle in the trenches, they’ll have the chance to prove to the country why they deserve to be recognized as contenders.
