Following the Super Bowl LIX loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for the upcoming 2025 NFL season, hoping to make another run at a championship.
Travis Kelce pondered retirement for a few weeks following the loss, but ultimately decided to return to the Chiefs for his 13th season. This means his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will likely be back at Arrowhead Stadium as well.
Throughout Wednesday, portions of the 2025 NFL schedule were gradually released, leading up to the full reveal at 8:00 p.m. ET.

According to NFL reporter Warren Sharp, the Chiefs are now "the first team in NFL history to receive 5 primetime games in the first 8 weeks of the season."
While the Chiefs have been one of the top dynasties over the past seven years, some NFL fans still gave credit to Swift for the historic 2025 schedule. They took to social media to leave their thoughts.
"Lots of early nights to bed for me! How pathetic is this really. You know it’s to get Swift on TV. It’s not about Patrick. It’s about Taylor fn Swift. Garbage," one fan said.
"The Taylor Swift effect…" added another.
"Anything for more T Swift ratings. NFL will usher them along to the Super Bowl again as usual," wrote a third.
"Kelce contract is up after this season. Probably retirement so this is the NFLs last window to get those Swifties," commented a fourth.
"Swifty in full effect. Most unlikable franchise in sports #kcsucks," posted a fifth.
"as a personal representative of Senior Swifties, can confirm we are obsessed with Taylor Swift, too," added a sixth.

Despite fans crediting Swift, only two of the Chiefs' first five primetime games will be in Kansas City. In 2024, the Grammy-winning artist only attended games at Arrowhead, excluding the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
