The complete schedule for the 2025 season will be revealed later Wednesday night, but prior to the overall announcement, it was confirmed that the Kansas City Chiefs will begin the upcoming season with a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil.
This will mark the fourth time in the last 11 seasons that Kansas City has played a regular-season game internationally. The Chiefs played the Detroit Lions in London, United Kingdom in 2015, the Chargers in Mexico City, Mexico in 2019, and the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany in 2023.
In fact, as soon as the Chiefs take the field in Brazil, Kansas City will become the first franchise to play a regular-season game in four countries outside of the United States in NFL history. Additionally, the Chiefs will also become the only team in NFL history to play a regular-season game in three different countries outside of North America.
