We've waited all offseason, and now we finally know what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 2025 schedule looks like. Some [early leaks that got our hopes up](https://thepewterplank.com/tampa-bay-buccaneers-schedule-leaks-rumors-2025-season) about some holiday games, but in the end the Bucs are right about where they usually are in terms of getting some national attention.
The list of opponents has been out since the end of the season, so _who_ the Bucs are playing isn't anything new. It's _when_ the games will happen that should cause a little stress.
Tampa Bay's pursuit of a fifth straight NFC South title was already going to be challenging, especially given the team's knack for making life harder than it needs to be. The schedule makers didn't do the Bucs any favors, though, as it seems we're in for another bumpy ride if things don't improve on the field from what we saw last season.

There's some pretty gnarly stretches in there that could prove more dificult than we'd all like.
Specifically, the Bucs will have an absolute gauntlet of travel in November that sees the Bucs travel from Buffalo to Los Angeles and back to Tampa in back-to-back-to-back weeks. That's a tough draw, and comes right around the time of year the Bucs have fallen into a losing slump in consecutive seasons.
The start of the season isn't much easier either, with road games against the Falcons and Texans -- the latter of which is in primetime. Bucs fans know all too well how underwhelming the team is in night games, and the fact that Tampa Bay is 1-5 against Houston won't make anyone feel much better.
Still, there's nothing _too_ daunting on the schedule that suggests this season is lost from the start. Even with the tough stretches, we've seen the Bucs find their way when times get tough, and this Baker Mayfield-led unit is now in its third season of being battle tested.
We're going to find out exactly what this team is made of this year, but no matter how hard the schedule might be it's what the team looks like on the field that will count the most.
