The Buffalo Bills are coming off a 13-4 2024 season where they loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship. It marked the fourth time in five seasons the Bills dropped a playoff matchup to the Chiefs.
Instead of looking back, the Bills are now looking ahead to the 2025 campaign. After making nine draft selections and acquiring a handful of veterans to beef up their roster, the Bills are hoping to finally break through the AFC and make a Super Bowl appearance.
First, however, the Bills will need to fare well in the regular season. After an offseason of anticipation, the NFL released it's full schedule on Wednesday, and the Bills have a few key matchups and interesting stretches.
The Bills open up the season against a pair of great defenses - and it won't be the last time the team goes against top-tier defenses. They open the season at home against the Baltimore Ravens before taking on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
The Bills follow it up with a three-game homestand against the Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots, three games where the Bills will find themselves favored. The favored trend continues into the next week when they take on the Falcons in Atlanta.
The Bills then have a Week 7 bye before going to Carolina to take on the Panthers. The week after the Bills will find themselves challenged as they host the Chiefs. Then a trip for their second game against Miami before hosting Tampa Bay in Buffalo.
After matching up against a tough Buccaneers defense at home, the Bills are matched up with two equally as tough - if not tougher - defenses on the road. They go to Houston for a quick Thursday Night football turnaround before heading to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.
The Bills host another playoff rival in the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14. That four game stretch will likely be the toughest of the season for the Bills given the scheduling, quality of defenses, and travel.
The Bills then have a pair of road games, playing their second game against the Patriots then traveling back to an AFC North opponent in Cleveland to face the Browns.
The Bills then play host to the reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, which will be a good test for the Bills just before the playoffs. They then finish the season at home against the New York Jets after the new year.
