Now that the [NFL schedule is finally out](https://thepewterplank.com/tampa-bay-buccaneers-2025-nfl-schedule-tv-channels), we can start parsing through what the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' journey to another NFC South title might look like. At first glance, it might be a bump ride with one particular stretch of the schedule looking super dicey.
In each of the last two years the Bucs have fallen on hard times in the middle of the season. They nearly lost all of their momentum in 2023 with a nasty 1-6 slump, but managed to finish 4-1 and end up in the NFC Divisional Round. Similarly, we saw the Bucs drop four straight games in the middle of last season before finishing 6-1 and winning another division crown.
We could be in for another one of those rough rides in November, when the Bucs have an absolutely brutal stretch of games. Over three weeks, Tampa Bay will travel from Buffalo across the coast to Los Angeles and then back to Tampa without any rest.

Buccaneers face another potential midseason disaster on 2025 schedule
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Not only do the Bucs have to fight travel fatigue, they also have to face at least two teams that are Super Bowl contenders. That third game against the Cardinals is a classic trap game for the Bucs, the kind that they should win but will probably go wire-to-wire in and need some sort of last minute gasp to win.
We saw far too many of those last year, with the Bucs going 2-5 in one-score games with three of those coming during the team's midseason losing streak.
Measures were taken to try and avoid those collapses in 2025. Haason Reddick was signed to improve the pass rush, and the Bucs doubled up on cornerbacks and edge rushers in the draft. There could still be a veteran move on the horizon as well, but it's hard to look at that November stretch and not feel a certain type of way about it.
Then again, the Bucs have managed to improve every season under Todd Bowles and at the very least have navigated out of losing streaks to keep things on track. The NFC South isn't getting any easier to win, though, and the Bucs can't afford to let another midseason stumble potentially throw them off course.
