Right out of the gate the Texans begin their 2025 season by facing a pair of playoff teams.
The NFL Schedule Release was Wednesday evening and Houston starts the fall at the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. Then, they'll come home to NRG Stadium for the Week 2 home opener against the Buccaneers. Both those NFC teams won their respective divisions last season,
In all, the Texans face seven playoff teams in 2025.
Their 14 foes combined to go 124-114 overall. That .521 winning percentage is down from last year's slate, when teams had a .538 winning percentage in 2023.
With nine NRG Stadium contests this fall, Houston hosts six teams that had losing records overall, and seven of those squads had losing records on the road in 2024. The Buccaneers, Bills and Broncos made the playoffs last year. After opening the home slate with Tampa Bay, seven of the next eight opponents had losing records on the road in 2024.
The nine NRG Stadium opponents combined to go 26-52 on the road last year.
