The NFL schedule for 2025 is officially out. We all knew the Chicago Bears would face a tough slate regardless of how the games stacked. Playing three of the best divisions in football (NFC North, AFC North, and NFC East) makes that a harsh reality. Still, all things considered, the Bears got a favorable setup. They don’t have any Thursday games. Their first four are an equal mix of home and road tilts. They have six straight noon games midway through the season, and three of the final four will be at home. Most people should at least be okay with the outcome. One person who probably isn’t sharing the excitement is [Tyrique Stevenson](https://twitter.com/SleeperBears/status/1922811419155714511).
Mind you, it’s not for the usual reasons. Outside of 5th round pick Zah Frazier, the Bears didn’t make any significant additions at cornerback. His job should be safe at least for this season. No, the issue stems from another team. No organization is better at releasing schedule announcement videos than the Los Angeles Chargers. One year, they did anime-style. This time, it came in the form of Minecraft. Keep in mind, the Bears don’t play the Chargers this season. That didn’t stop them from mercilessly trolling the young corner.
In case you somehow lived under a rock until now, that few seconds of clip depicted his lowest moment as a professional. It came during the game against Washington last year, where the Bears held the lead with seconds left. All they needed was to defend a Hail Mary attempt to get out with a win. Instead of paying attention to the play, Tyrique Stevenson was jawing with fans in the end zone. He didn’t turn around until the play was in progress. By the time he found his way over to the ball, he was too late, batting it right into the hands of Commanders receiver Noah Brown for the touchdown. It was the most brutal way to lose this franchise has experienced in over a decade. The fact that a team Chicago isn’t even playing couldn’t resist needling about it tells you everything you need to know.
