With their season practically wrapped up, Arsenal's gaze is now fixed on the summer transfer window.
A new striker tops the wish list, having been pinpointed as the Gunners' Achilles heel this season. RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko remains in the crosshairs, but it seems the chase for Viktor Gyokeres is heating up.
The Swedish international has been a sensation at Sporting Lisbon over the past couple of years, making him one of Europe's most sought-after talents.
A host of top-tier clubs across Europe are hot on his heels. Arsenal bost Mikel Arteta is itching to bolster his forward line and club chiefs have ramped up their efforts to sign Gyokeres, reports the Mirror.
It's shaping up to be a bustling summer window at the Emirates. Here, Daily Star Sportbrings you all the latest Arsenal transfer gossip.

Raheem Sterling has been touted to join Fenerbahce, with the winger unlikely to don the Arsenal jersey next season. Sterling has spent the season on loan at the Gunners from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
However, the Englishman has found it tough to leave his mark at the Emirates, with just a single goal and five assists to his name. He's set to head back to Chelsea when the season wraps up, but the Blues are keen to ship him out straight away, despite two years left on his contract.
As per Takvim, Sterling has been put forward to Fenerbahce via agents. Jose Mourinho, who's currently steering the Turkish powerhouse, is reportedly 'very positive' about bringing Sterling onboard.

Joan Garcia has given Arsenal a leg-up in their bid to sign him this summer. The Gunners' attempt to nab the goalie last summer fell flat, but he's widely tipped to part ways with Espanyol in the upcoming window.
Barcelona have also shown interest in the 24 year old, as have Aston Villa. But according to AS, Garcia has now made it clear that he's 'aiming' to join Arsenal this summer.
This is said to give the Gunners' boss a 'clear edge' in their quest to secure the keeper. He's got a £21million release clause in his contract, which will jump to £25m in the final fortnight of the window.

Arsenal have put a £7m per year after-tax contract on the table for Viktor Gyokeres, making a significant stride towards signing the striker. The Swedish star netted 43 times last season, helping Sporting Lisbon clinch the Primeira Liga title.

This year, he's surpassed that record, scoring 52 goals with Sporting just needing to match Benfica's result this weekend to clinch a second consecutive title. However, it's unlikely Gyokeres will be present for a third shot at the Portuguese crown.
Arsenal are keen to secure his signature, with A Bola reporting they've proposed a hefty £7m salary, which the striker is prepared to accept.
It's reported that the Gunners will delay making a formal offer to Sporting until after the Taca de Portugal final on 25 May.
