Manchester United are monitoring the contract situation of Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
The journalist, who is usually reliable when it comes to transfer stories, says the Red Devils are “keeping” their “eye” on the 24-year-old to see whether he becomes available this summer.
Hudson-Odoi is out of contract at the end of next season and, while talks are taking place over an extension, he could be on the market if he can’t agree fresh terms.

Considering the amount of time remaining on his current deal, the forward may be sold for a knockdown price.
Hudson-Odoi would be a squad player at best
Much was expected of the youngster when he first came through the ranks of Chelsea, but injuries and loss of form meant the Blues sold him to Forest for just £5m in September 2023.
Hudson-Odoi’s first season at the City Ground saw him record some decent numbers, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists. He has followed that up with 5 goals and 3 assists this campaign.
Based on those figures, it would be very surprising if United wanted to bring him in as a regular starter. Head coach Ruben Amorim may see him as a solution to add depth in forward positions.
Man United are targeting several wide forwards
In addition to Hudson-Odoi, the club are hoping to secure the signature of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. The Brazilian will cost £62.5m due to a release clause in his contract.
The Manchester club have also been linked with several other names in recent weeks, including RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons and Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, who could be brought in to reinforce the frontline.
Of course, a lot depends on the club’s transfer budget. Read this article to discover what one journalist has heard about how much Amorim will have to spend this summer.
