Premier League name Player of the Season nominees

The Premier League has revealed the eight players shortlisted for the 2024/25 EA SPORTS Player of the Season award.

Liverpool’s title-winning side has three players nominated, with Mohamed Salah the frontrunner after leading the Premier League for goals and assists. Salah’s teammates Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenberch are also up for the award.

Nottingham Forest’s campaign as a surprise package has been recognised. Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood – who has reached 20 goals in the Premier League for the first time – are on the shortlist.

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice, Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo complete the nominees.

Cole Palmer in contention for back-to-back Young Player of the Season awards

Liverpool midfielder Gravenberch has also made Young Player of the Season shortlist. He is joined by last season’s winner, Cole Palmer, among the nominees.

Dean Huijsen, who is nearing a move to Real Madrid from Bournemouth, is also selected, alongside Arsenal defender William Saliba, Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers, Ipswich striker Liam Delap, Brighton’s Joao Pedro, and Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga.

Slot leads four-man shortlist for Barclays Manager of the Season

Liverpool manager Arne Slot headlines the five-man shortlist for the Manager of the Season award. The Dutchman led Liverpool to the league title in his debut campaign at Anfield.

Nottingham Forest’s Nuno Espirito Santo is also a contender, after guiding the club into Europe for the first time since 1995.

Eddie Howe is in the running, after ending Newcastle’s 70-year wait for a major trophy with Carabao Cup success.

Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Wolves’ Vitor Pereira complete the shortlist.
