Proskauer Advises Seven Seven Six on Investment in Chelsea FC Women

NEW YORK, May 15, 2025 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that it has advised Seven Seven Six on its successful investment in Chelsea FC Women (CFCW).

The transaction represents the continued investment focus of Seven Seven Six, and its founder Alexis Ohanian, in women’s sports domestically in the United States and abroad.

CFCW has described the investment by Seven Seven Six as “a game-changing endorsement of Chelsea Women, and for women’s football in Europe and across the world.”

In a post announcing the investment, Ohanian said, “These players are rewriting the game. Undefeated season. Eyes on the treble. But this isn’t just about winning titles. It’s about finally matching their talent with the resources, visibility, and respect they deserve. I’ve been right about this before, and I couldn't be more excited.”

The cross-border Proskauer team was led by partners Grant Darwin (M&A) and Robert Freeman (Sports/TMT) in New York and Adam Creed and Rob Day (M&A) in London. The transaction team also included partners Wai Choy (TMT), Aaron Lee (Tax), Stephen Pevsner (Tax) and Vikki McKay (Real Assets), as well as associates Sean Donoghue (M&A), John Campanella (M&A) and Rita Halabi (Tax).
