_Whether it be seeing Patrick Mahomes play, visiting Las Vegas or some other reason, which game are you personally looking forward to the most on the 2025 Cowboys schedule?_ **– Michael Hernandez/San Antonio, TX**

**Nick:** I say this just about every year and so I'm going to stick to my theme here. But I always put a lot of focus on the Week 2 game. This year, it's at **home against the Giants**. My reasoning is because usually by the second game is when we start to see what the team really is. For some reason, the emotions that come into the Week 1 game can sometimes paint an inaccurate picture for what the season will be. Take last year for an example. The Cowboys went and dominated the Browns on the road, creating a ton of excitement for the defense, only to come back in Week 2 and get completely mauled by the Saints, who turned out to be worse than the Cowboys when the season ended.

If you start the season 0-1, then you better get it turned around with a Week 2 win. If you somehow get the win in the opening game against the Eagles, then it's even more important to stack some wins together and get to 2-0. The best way to get to 8-8 is to go 1-1 and then 2-2 and so forth. So either you're adding to the success with a win, or you're stopping the bleeding after a Week 1 loss. Either way, Week 2 is usually a very telling game and this year, against a Giants team that has added a lot more on defense, it'll be an interesting matchup. Plus, in this case, it's a chance to either go 2-0 in the division or prevent going 0-2.
