A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona hopes to use the final weeks of the campaign to ensure his continuity at the club for next season.
That’s according to **[Diario Sport](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/christensen-quiere-ganarse-continuidad-117400794)**, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Stopper Christensen has for his part endured an altogether difficult term in Catalunya’s capital to date.
Owing to a pair of long-term injury problems, the Dane, in fact, has taken to the pitch in a competitive setting on just four occasions.
One such outing came earlier this month, when Christensen was afforded a starting berth in a La Liga meeting with Real Valladolid.
And the former Chelsea man’s showing proved hugely encouraging, when it comes to hopes of Christensen regaining his best form.
It should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the 29-year-old being eager to build on his return to fitness courtesy of yet further starts over the next couple of weeks.
In fact, as per Sport, Christensen intends to use the final three gameweeks of the term in La Liga to earn a place for himself in the plans of manager Hansi Flick for next season.
