Chelsea vs. Manchester United: Team News & Possible Line-ups
The possible line-ups are derived from previous match days. We take into consideration how strong the opponents are, what players are injured and of course team news before the match.
Team News Chelsea
Head coach Sonia Bompastor with the latest squad update: “Almost all the squad is available. LJ (Lauren James) won’t be available for this game, but we have Mayra back fit again. Sam Kerr won’t be available for the game, so we won’t see her this season.”
What the coach has to say:
Sonia Bompastor on playing at Wembley: “I’m lucky to have many English players in my squad who are used to playing that stadium. I think they have had some conversations together to help players prepare for the game, because being at Wembley can be quite intimidating. We had these conversations together, and it will be a huge opportunity for these players to enjoy that moment.”
On if there is a different approach to the match: “The opportunity to play at Wembley is something great. Most of the players and most of the managers would love to do that. We need to realize we are lucky to be in that position. We earned that right but also, we need to enjoy that moment.
“That is a really special moment, that is a final, so at the end of the game you will have a title. We know we are facing a really strong team, so we’ll be ready for that. The week has been the same as our previous weeks. We worked really hard with the confidence we have. We feel ready going into that final, but it will be a really special moment. I heard maybe 80.000 tickets were sold, so what an opportunity to play in that stadium with almost sold out. It will maybe be the perfect end to your season, if you win.”

Team News Manchester United
Head coach Marc Skinner with the latest team news: “Hopefully, we will welcome Rachel back this week as well. Which would be great, Aoife comes back in as well.
“We had no new niggles from the game [at Arsenal], I don’t think, but it’s likely Jayde Riviere will miss out for this one, you know, and we’re gutted for her. She’s been an incredible part of our season. So, she took a knock in the game before last. So, for us, everybody else is fit and ready and up for selection.”
What the coach has to say:
Marc Skinner on playing in the Women’s FA Cup Final: “I’m a realist. So, when we go into this game, you’ve got to take every detail as it comes and live with no regrets. And, if we do that, we know we can beat any team.
“We’re playing against the hardest team in the country because they’re unbeaten in their WSL season, but this ain’t the WSL. This is the FA Cup and this is our cup. So, we have to go into this game with a full motivation, with full focus and try to do what somebody hasn’t been able to achieve domestically this year. That’s a great challenge for us and something we’re looking forward to.
“As hard as it will be, if you’re ready to walk that wire, then we can get that glorious result again. You know, that’s what we want to do. So, we want to give absolutely everything. I think you can tell by my attitude that’s what we want to do.”
