As we are in the middle of the NFL offseason, there have been a lot of relationships built as well as destroyed when speaking on player contracts.
From guys like Cincinnati Bengals' defensive end Trey Hendrickson to Baltimore Ravens' running back Derrick Henry, some conversations have gone better than others.
With this being said, there's another top player in the league who's been waiting for a contract extension of his own – Dallas Cowboys' linebacker Micah Parsons.

The linebacker out of Penn State is currently under a contract that keeps him with the Cowboys through 2025.
Parsons has shown that he wants to stay with Dallas for his career.
Even when Green Bay Packers' quarterback Jordan Love tried recruiting him to Green Bay in February of 2025, Parsons shot him down, saying, "I'm a for-lifer."
Although a contract hasn't been completely resolved between Parsons and the Cowboys, it seems there's one that's in the works.
Stephen Jones is a co-owner of the Cowboys and the son to owner Jerry Jones. He took interviews on Thursday and one topic was on Parsons' contract extension.
"We want Micah here. He knows we want him here. I think ultimately we’ll get something done," Jones said.
As we get through the offseason, no word has been said on if the linebacker will get a new deal before the start of the season.
From what it seems, Parsons and the Cowboys' front office are on the same page in terms of getting the financial side of football worked out.
Parsons isn't the only player that will need an extension in order to keep them long-term in Dallas.
Newly acquired wide receiver George Pickens is another player that's contract ends after the 2025 season and will be looking for a raise.

The Cowboys have a lot to figure out in the near future, but time and performance will tell what Dallas' roster will look like moving forward.
