Former Steelers front office exec lands new job with Las Vegas Raiders

Former Pittsburgh Steelers front office executive Brandon Hunt has landed a new NFL gig. Hunt was the Philadelphia Eagles’ Senior Director of Scouting under Howie Roseman.

From 2009 to 2023, Hunt was a stalwart member of the Steelers organization, but after Omar Khan landed the general manager job, Hunt went elsewhere. After three seasons in Philadelphia, he will join new Las Vegas Raiders general manager John Spytek as the Vice President of Player Personnel.

Hunt is a Pittsburgh native. He attended high school at Pine-Richland in the city’s northern suburbs. After that, he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was a graduate assistant coach at IUP in 2004.

Hunt joined the Steelers as a scouting intern from 2005 to 2006 before becoming a pro scout with the Houston Texans for three years.

In 2009, Hunt returned to the Steelers as their Pro Scouting Coordinator and held that title until 2022. In 2022, he jumped ship to join the Eagles organization after Khan started shuffling the front office deck.

Hunt is a fast-rising candidate in the NFL. Even though he has yet to land a general manager job, with his current track record, it does not appear Hunt is all that far off from landing that gig with a successful stint in Las Vegas.
