Ben Stiller And Baby Goats: The Story Behind the Ravens' Schedule Release Video

After landing on the idea in February, the Ravens Productions crew started shooting on NFL Draft weekend with first-round rookie Malaki Starks and spent days editing the video before Wednesday's release.

A total of 16 players participated in the filming, in addition to General Manager Eric DeCosta, Head Coach John Harbaugh, and other members of the front office.

"I had a lot of ideas for scenes and our cinematographers ran with every idea and made it possible," said Shelby Lasso, the Ravens' lead on the project. "I can't thank Eddie Coughlan, Nick Modisett, and JT Santos enough for their support throughout this process. Since we started filming three weeks before we got the actual schedule, we had to add all the games in the post-production process, which obviously isn't easy, but Brent Airey and Keith Jackson are the best at what they do and took our entire video to the highest level!

"We also had the opportunity to partner with Apple TV, as well as the production company Fifth Season. The collaboration presented an opportunity to tap into a culturally relevant show, with the ability to expand the reach of the video to not only NFL fans but also 'Severance' and Apple TV's massive audience."

Some players such as Tyler Linderbaum, Kyle Hamilton, and Charlie Kolar were big fans of the show. Countless weeks of hard work whittled into a 6:54 minute masterpiece, and it was all worth it in the end.

"One of the coolest parts of the process was seeing our entire production team come together to make this video happen," Lasso said. "When we're in season, everyone is working on something and there aren't a lot of opportunities for every person to touch a project. I always say we're better when we work together and that's a huge reason why this video was a success.

"And it wasn't just Ravens Productions. Many members of our digital team played a role and helped in some way, as well as the countless others who were behind the scenes throughout this entire process, whether it was shutting down a hallway for Keaton Mitchell to run down or putting plastic down on the floors so five baby goats can get into the draft room. This video was an absolute beast, but we absolutely have the best creative team in the NFL and it's an honor to work alongside them."
