Arsenal's extensive search for a new striker for the 2025-26 campaign will see them make a move for either Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Sesko during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Gunners were hit by injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus during the second half of the season as their Premier League title bid wilted and, after opting to keep their powder dry in January, they are now prepared to spend big on a new No.9 to bolster Mikel Arteta's options in attack.

A host of names have been linked with a move to The Emirates in recent months - and it now seems as though Arsenal's striker search has been narrowed down to two possible options.

As outlined by The Independent, Gyokeres and Sesko are now deemed the two most likely targets for Arsenal, who are also in the market for a left winger, a midfielder and another goalkeeper.

Both would cost under £75million, making them budget friendly options with plenty of work done on Sesko, who was a target last summer before the Slovenia star decided to sign a new contract with RB Salzburg.

Arsenal's new sporting director, Andrea Berta, is believed to favour a move for Gyokeres, though, who is likely to be allowed to leave Sporting Lisbon for less than his release clause - meaning he could be as much as £15m cheaper than Sesko.

At 26, Gyokeres may be older than Sesko, 21, but the report adds that the Swede is seen as closer to the finished article.

While it remains to be seen which of the pair Arsenal will advance their interest in they are seen as more attainable options than Alexander Isak, with an acceptance that a deal for the Newcastle striker is 'impossible' - even if there is a belief that the Swede would consider such a move.

Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao remains Arsenal's primary target in their search for a left winger. A handful of Premier League stars are also on the club's radar and could come into play depending on how the summer window plays out.

Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins, a January target, is among those, plus Wolves forward Matheus Cunha and Brighton's Joao Pedro.
