The 2025 NFL schedule released this week and the regular season is inching closer by the day. Fans are beginning to prepare their travel plans to see their favorite team in action. There’s an extra sense of optimism this time of year and every team’s record starts the same: 0-0. The New York Giants, however, have the toughest strength of schedule despite finishing 2024 with a 3-14 record. Fans should note that the perception of an NFL schedule is ever fluid. With every season comes injuries and surprise teams rising and falling on a weekly basis. Be that as it may, here’s an early2025 New York Giants schedule prediction.
Week 1@ Commanders 1 pm
Truth be told, the Giants might actually have a better roster than the Commanders outside of quarterback. They played the upstart Commanders well in both matchups in 2024 and if they had a healthy kicker in week two, they probably would have won. However, Jayden Daniels makes any NFL roster substantially better.
Abdul Carter will be a x-factor in his NFL debut, but Daniels and the Commanders will be too much for the Giants in a “closer than most would think” type of game.
Record 0-1
Week 2 @ Cowboys 1 pm
Dak Prescott has beaten the Giants 13 straight times in his career. The last time he lost to them, Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. were still on the team. They just added George Pickens, who will compliment CeeDee Lamb perfectly.
That being said, the Giants pass rush takes advantage of a young Dallas offensive line. Russell Wilson does just enough to give the Giants an upset win.
Record 1-1
Week 3 vs Chiefs SNF
Home debut on Sunday Night football against the three-time defending AFC champions. Poor season ticket holders. This might be close-ish, but it won’t matter. Mahomes will figure it out against an inferior opponent one way or another.
Record 1-2
Week 4 vs Chargers 1 pm
On paper, this looks like it’s going to a grind it out type of game. Jim Harbough loves to run the football and this could be a coming out party for rookie Omarion Hampton. The Chargers defense is sneaky good, too. This very well could be a heartbreaking, 20-17 type of loss Giants fans still have grown numb to over the years.
Record 1-3
Week 5 @ NOLA 1 pm
Jaxson Dart

The call for Dart might start here, but they won’t be loud enough for a real quarterback change. Throwing a rookie in the fire on the road is a mistake waiting to happen. Not to mention, this is one of the few games on the schedule the Giants might be favored in.
Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, doesn’t matter. This Saints team was already in rebuild mode and now with Carr’s retirement, they might be the NFL’s worst team. It’ll be stressful because the Giants always make these games stressful, but they’ll come out of the French Quarter with a win. This is the only 2025 New York Giants prediction to feel comfortable about.
Record 2-3
Week 6 vs Philly TNF
The good news is that the Giants schedule lightens up after getting a win on the road in New Orleans. The bad news is that complete sarcasm. In fact, the team’s first two home games this season are against last year’s Super Bowl matchup. Just three days later, the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles come to Metlife for a Thursday Night Football showdown.
Historically, the Giants have been bad in primetime and against the Eagles. Until they prove otherwise, there’s no reason to pick them here.
Record 2-4
Week 7 @ Denver 4 pm
After a mini-bye, the team travels to the mile high city to take on the Broncos. This is a spot that feels like it could be a win with an improved team. However, the Denver defense might be too excited for Wilson’s revenge game. I think this one has a chance to get ugly.
Record 2-5
Week 8 @ Philly 1 pm
Two weeks later after their first meeting, the Giants and Eagles meet in Philly in week 8. For the reasons as before, the Eagles take this one. One day that’ll change, but there’s no reason to pick the Giants to beat the Eagles in a meaningful game until they do so.
Record 2-6
Week 9 vs 49ers 1 pm
Fresh off Halloween weekend, the chants for Dart start getting louder. To some level, this makes sense for his debut. The team will mostly be out of contention at this point, the regime is on the hot seat and a future quarterback might be their saving grace. Still, this is the 49ers defense. Not a wise call for a rookie quarterback to make his debut against Nick Bosa and company.
Oh, and the 49ers win an ugly one.
Record 2-7
Week 10 @ Chicago 1 pm
The Giants need a win in the worst possible here and they get one in Chicago. It could save Schoen and Daboll’s job for the time being. The Bears are more talented, but the Giants play hard and grind one out on the road.
Record 3-7
Week 11 vs Green Bay 1 pm
To Dart not to Dart. That is the question here for Brian Daboll. For the sake of keeping his job, Daboll inserts Dart into the starting lineup here. This isn’t the best matchup for a rookie quarterback. The Packers defense is solid and can give young quarterbacks trouble, but if Dart shows that he belongs and improves in the back half of a tough season, suddenly the team’s record won’t mean as much. This is the most important 2025 New York Giants prediction.
Daboll starts that gamble here. A new era of Giants football could begin. Albeit in a loss.
Record 3-8
Week 12 @ Detroit 1 pm
The Jaxson Dart led Giants go to Detroit the Sunday before Thanksgiving. There’s not much tape on Dart yet and Daboll creates an effective game plan for the rookie. He shows signs of promise in a dome and the Giants catch the Lions sleeping before Thanksgiving.
Record 4-8
Week 13 @ New England MNF
Every time the Giants wear their white uniforms against the Patriots, there’s always a sense of nostalgia for Super Bowls 42 and 46. However, the Giants don’t get the win here. Drake Maye shows Giants fans what Jaxson Dart could be in year two. Tough primetime debut for the rookie.
Record 4-9
Week 14 BYE
A late bye week and preparation for the final stretch of the season.
Week 15 vs Washington 1 pm
Fresh off the bye, the Commanders visit the Giants. Much like week one, this game will be competitive until the fourth quarter. Abdul Carter will learn from mistakes he made against Daniels in week one and help control the line of scrimmage.
Still, the Commanders will have too much at stake to lose.
Record 4-10
Week 16 vs Minnesota 1 pm
Minnesota is a tough team to figure out this offseason. JJ McCarthy is a huge question mark after he missed his rookie season. Jaxson Dart will have another game where he flashes potential, this time in front of a home crowd, but the Giants walk away with a loss.
Record 4-11
Week 17 @ Vegas
Vegas on the road won’t feel like a road game. There will be a ton of blue in the crowd enjoying the city for the weekend. In an ugly one, the Giants sneak away with another win and some momentum for the finale.
Record 6-10
Week 18 vs Dallas
The Giants ride the high of their win in Vegas and upset Dallas a second time to end the season. WFAN callers will say it reminds them of Eli Manning’s win against Dallas in 2004 season finale and suddenly, the team feels like they have a bright future again.
Final record: 7-10
Again, this 2025 New York Giants prediction can be completely wrong. It’s difficult to predict wins and losses in May before training camp, injuries, and changes to teams. In this scenario, the Giants are competitive enough in their losses and Dart looks promising enough to keep Schoen and Daboll for 2026.
