Bucs Predicted To Fix Most Worrisome Flaw

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have won a record-tying four consecutive NFC South titles heading into 2025, and can extend that to five with another division title.

But over most of that time, they've had one glaring deficiency.

The Buccaneers have struggled on their home turf at 4201 North Dale Mabry Highway, posting just a 14-12 record since 2022.

Tampa Bay tied for the league's worst home record last season at 5-4, matching the Los Angeles Rams' dubious mark. In 2023, the Bucs were 4-4 after a season of 5-4 in 2022.

The best season for the Buccaneers at home in recent memory was 2021 when they posted a 7-1 mark. But in 2025, that could all change.

Only one of Tampa Bay's home opponents next season had a winning record and made the postseason. That's the Eagles, who were 14-3 en route to a Super Bowl title. One of those three defeats was to the Buccaneers.

The Bucs are the only team to have beaten the Eagles twice in the past two seasons, including a 33-16 victory in Week 4 last season.

The reason for Tampa Bay's struggles is hard to pin down, as some say the heat and humidity, but the opposing team is subject to those same conditions.

The Bucs have the 14th-easiest schedule in the league next year, with opponents posting just a .481 winning percentage in 2024, but the team still has to take care of business on the field.

With a re-tooled defense with some impressive draft picks and free agent signings, head coach and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will have maybe his best unit since the 2020 Super Bowl championship team.

And we predict they fix this one major flaw.
