Recently, Pro Football Focus released its initial top 200 prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft, and to some surprise, the list is filled with six Indiana Hoosier players.
The 2025 CFB season was a shocker for Indiana and the college football world, as they went 11-2 last season after going 3-9 in the previous year. The NFL Draft only saw All-Big Ten defensive tackle CJ West and 2nd All-Big Ten quarterback Kurtis Rourke were both picked by the San Francisco 49ers in the 4th and 7th rounds.
Four Hoosiers on defense and two on offense cracked Pro Football Focus' top-200 prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft.
Leading the way in Indiana's representation on PFF's Big Board is All-American Edge Rusher Mikail Kamara t at No. 33 on PFF's Big Board. Kamara is also rated as the 8th best overall edge rusher.
According to Pro Football Focus, Kamara graded out as Indiana’s best defensive player with a grade of 86.7.
All-Big Ten Third Team receiver also landed in the top-50, at No. 39 on PFF's Big Board. Among all receivers, Sarratt is the fifth-highest ranked receiver prospect. Elijah Sarratt caught 53 passes for 957 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024.
All-American cornerback D'Angelo Ponds came in at No. 42 on PFF's Big Board. Ponds is the sixth-highest ranked cornerback prospect on their board. Ponds appeared in all 13 games with 12 starts. He totaled 55 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss. The sophomore also had three interceptions and broke up nine passes.
All-Big Ten offensive tackle Carter Smith and Cal transfer quarterback Fernando Mendoza were ranked at No. 115 and No. 117.
Safety Amare Carroll was the final Indiana Hoosier ranked, coming in at No. 185 and was the 14th ranked saftey on the PFF Big Board.
