Noles News: Jordan Travis, coach? Mike Norvell would be all for it

Alumni:

FSU’s 2013 secondary, historically, is one of the best defensive back groups ever, 8-year NFL vet and member of said secondary, Terrence Brooks, thinks it’s simply the best:

If Jordan Travis wants to transition to coaching, Mike Norvell is on record of wanting to make that happen.

“If that’s a path that he wants to go, I’m going to work really hard to make sure that becomes our reality,” Florida State coach Mike Norvell said. He made that remark when asked by reporters about the possibility of Travis joining the Seminoles’ staff.

Congratulations to Makayla Timpson for making the Indiana Fever.

Football:

Mike Norvell and Luke Loucks were all smiles in Jacksonville last night as they spoke at a booster event on their plans to reinvigorate both programs and get back them into championship contention.

“You go through highs and lows throughout life, throughout your career,” Norvell said. “You never just dismiss something that might not go the way you want to. You look back, you evaluate. You try to learn the lessons of where you can be better, how certain things happen, why certain things happen.”

“Money is a huge factor,” Loucks said. “We just came from the ACC meetings, and I don’t say this lightly, but the SEC has done an unbelievable job as a, quote-unquote, football conference, investing financially into their basketball teams, and you saw the results of that last year.”

The ‘Noles had some fun with media day:
