Icebreaking Storyline

This will be just Washington's second appearance at U.S. Bank Stadium, following a 19-9 win by Minnesota in October 2019 on Thursday Night Football. The Vikings have claimed the past three decisions, a streak that began in 2017, and five of six since 2013. … The Commanders boasted one of the bigger single-season turnarounds by a team in recent years, going from 4-13 with a point differential of minus-194 in 2023 to a 12-5 record and positive point differential (94). The 485 points scored by Washington in 2024 tied for the second most in a season in franchise history with the 1991 squad that won Super Bowl XXVI in Minnesota. Only the 1983 team scored more for Washington (541).
