Donald Trump is no stranger to the NFL and endorsing players who align with his political views. That was no different when he invited two teams (Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles) to the White House this off-season.
Now Trump is seeing one star catch a lot of grief for continuing to support him.

It is clear that Saquon Barkley isn’t going to let his critics silence him:
Barkley is coming off the best season of his NFL career, which is saying something because the former No. 2 overall pick was already a Pro Bowl-caliber player. He had 2,005 rushing yards and 15 total touchdowns before helping the Eagles go on a Super Bowl run. Not only did he earn All-Pro honors, he was named the Offensive Player of the Year.
While NFL fans have adored Barkley since he entered the league in 2018, they appear to be losing interest in him due to his recent actions.
It all started with Barkley golfing with President Donald Trump in Bedminster, New Jersey. He then took a visit to the White House in April to celebrate the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory.
Barkley received a ton of backlash for spending quality time with Trump. That being said, he clapped back at his critics on social media.

Barkley let people know that he golfed with Trump because he has respect for the president, not because he loves his policies.
“Some people are really upset cause I played golf and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT,” Barkley wrote on the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have [an] amazing day.”
Unfortunately, that response from Barkley has not silenced all the criticism.
It was revealed this week that Barkley is planning a “collaboration stream” with controversial internet personality Adin Ross. That decision isn’t sitting well with NFL fans.
“Bro single handedly trying to ruin his reputation in one offseason,” one fan said.
“Saquon is gonna go the Herschel Walker route when he retires,” another fan wrote on social media.
Barkley has not yet fired back at fans mad over a potential collaboration with Ross.
It’s also worth noting that fans called out Barkley for agreeing to attend a Life Surge event in Philadelphia on May 31. It’s been described as a “one-day life-changing event where Christians gather to learn why and how to create and multiply financial resources for Kingdom impact.”
Clearly, Barkley is going to stay true to himself despite all the criticism.
