Bills 'Batted .1000' At The Top Of Draft in Super Bowl Push

The Buffalo Bills made several key additions to their defense during the 2025 draft. Six of the organization's nine picks went to building a unit that could stop the elite offenses around the league.

There were plenty starting caliber players brought in during that time for Buffalo. Cornerback Maxwell Hairston is a plausible Day 1 start on the outside. JT Sanders is a defensive tackle prospect that can be a thorn in opposing offense's sides.

Then there's Arkansas edge rusher Landon Jackson. The high-profile prospect was taken in the third round, but can be seen as a major contributor right away to the Bills' defense.

NFL Draft analyst Trevor Sikkema believes in the Jackson pick so much, that he named him the best fit of the 2025 NFL Draft for Buffalo.

"I said this right after the draft: It feels like Jackson is just a better version of what the Bills hoped AJ Epenesa would be when they drafted him in the second round in 2020," Sikkema said. "Epenesa has had only one season out of five with a 65.0-plus PFF overall grade."

"Jackson is built similarly to Epenesa in height, weight and length, but he is a much more explosive athlete, placing in the 96th and 97th percentiles for the vertical jump and broad jump at the NFL Scouting Combine."

Buffalo brought in Joey Bosa as a free agent addition this offseason to bolster the pass rush. If Jackson can make an immediate impact, the Bills should lay claim to one of the best edge rushing groups in the league.

And in total? With Max, JT and Landon, it is possible the Bills just went 3-for-3 at the top of this draft.

And batting .1000? Well, that might finally help them get past the Chiefs in the AFC Playoffs.
