After the excitement caused by their 2025 schedule video, the Arizona Cardinals have released two more songs by linebacker Mack Wilson.
On Wednesday night, the Cardinals became the first NFL team to announce their schedule via a rap song – “18 Bars,” with lyrics written by Wilson, a former Carver-Montgomery and Alabama standout who raps under the name Rocketship.
Arizona posted an alternative schedule song called “1 of 1” on their YouTube channel on Thursday afternoon and released the 2025 season hype song “A to Z” on Thursday night, with the latter available on Apple Music, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music and YouTube Music.
As with “18 Bars,” Wilson wrote and performed the lyrics, with Bighead Music providing the beats.
Wilson is preparing for his second season with the Cardinals and seventh in the NFL. Last season, he started 16 games as Arizona’s weakside linebacker.
After all his work to unveil the Arizona schedule, Wilson was asked about the slate at a press conference on Thursday. He put the spotlight on the Cardinals’ opener against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
“This is my first time playing in New Orleans in the dome, so super excited,” Wilson said. “It’s not too close to home, but it’s drivable for my family, so I’ll have a lot of family in attendance.
“Just the rest of the schedule, I feel like it’s a well-put-together schedule. We got to show up each week and go out and compete. No matter what the strength of schedule may say, it doesn’t matter because I feel like any team can lose on any given Sunday, so we just got to strap it up and be ready to go to battle every week.”
