Watch: Barcelona celebrate La Liga title with bus parade

Barcelona’s players and staff have been busy celebrating the team’s La Liga title with a bus parade through the city’s streets.

There were plenty of celebrations last night after the 2-0 win over Espanyol that sealed top spot, and Barcelona have now been able to share the moment with thousands of fans.

Manager Hansi Flick joined in and was spotted in sunglasses and a club scarf. He’ll likely be in the news again next week when Barcelona announce his new contract extension.

The one player who was missing was Ferran Torres. The forward remains in hospital after surgery for appendicitis but was definitely watching along from his bed.

Captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen had a few words as he joined in the celebrations. The goalkeeper has missed most of the season with injury but was still very much enjoying himself.

“You never get tired of winning titles,” he said. “I see people very excited. It’s what we’ve built throughout the season. There’s a strong connection between the city and the club.”

Meanwhile, Wojciech Szczęsny was happy puffing away on a cigar and even offered Marc Bernal a puff but saw his effort turned down by the youngster.

And Ronald Araujo was happy to take the mic and lead the fans and players in a chant of ‘Campeones!, Campeones!’

The celebrations will continue over the weekend, with Barcelona set to lift the trophy in front of their own fans on Sunday evening after taking on Villarreal in La Liga.
