Commanders Quinn Details 'Remarkable' Jayden As Culture-Changer

The Washington Commanders had one of the greatest turnarounds in league history last season. Their nine-win jump from the year prior helped catapult them to the NFC Championship Game for the first time in 30 years.

A big reason why? Quarterback Jayden Daniels.

The former second overall pick was a key face of the team's turnaround last season. Commanders head coach Dan Quinn made it abundantly clear, that the team is beyond thankful for their franchise quarterback.

"Jayden's remarkable," Quinn said on the Rich Eisen show. "He had a fantastic year, but I wish more people saw all the unseen work that goes into what he does. It's remarkable the way he can grind and get ready.

"I know I speak for the rest of the team when I say we appreciate how hard he prepares. He's been a fantastic teammate. We're very fortunate to have No. 5 taking the snap."

Daniels threw for over 3,500 yards, and 25 touchdowns while adding just under 900 rushing yards as well. Washington's quarterback has become one of the best in the league after just one season.

He's also become a culture-changing key leader on a roster with plenty of veteran stars on it - another example of how mature and great Daniels has been in his early career.

He has the Commanders thinking past just playoff appearances, too. The mark of any contending team is finding a way to consistently be great over many years. With Daniels under center, there's a reason to believe Washington can be one of those teams.
