Make-A-Wish teen from Orchard Park announces Buffalo Bills 2025 first-round NFL Draft Pick

Night One of the 2025 NFL Draft was one to remember for a special Buffalo Bills fan.

16-year-old Tommy Parzymieso announced the Bills first-round draft selection on stage at the draft in Green Bay as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Bills selected Kentucky CB Maxwell Hairston with the 30th overall pick.

Tommy and his family live in Orchard Park, NY and are all avid Bills fans. At the age of 2, Tommy was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare genetic muscle wasting disorder affecting his muscles, heart and lungs. Due to the condition weakening his skeletal muscles, Tommy uses a full time electric wheelchair to get around.

A sports fan from a young age, Tommy loves the Bills and his favorite football player is the Bills' first draft pick from last season, WR Keon Coleman.

"I like his personality, I like his play style," Tommy said.

Tommy and his family will be hosting a ['Team Tommy' fundraising event on Saturday, May 3rd](https://givebutter.com/c/TeamTommyFundraiser) at the Wings Meeting Place in Orchard Park, New York. According to the site, proceeds from this event will directly fund imperative home modifications, specialized equipment and other critical resources that will empower Tommy to maintain his independence and quality-of-life for years to come.
