Do you hear that? No, me neither. The New York Jets, under head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey, have moved in silence this offseason.
And that's by design.
After the circus that came to the Big Apple with Aaron Rodgers, the new-look Jets are taking a different approach to trying to turn things around. There's no drama, no shocking headlines, or players missing camp due to trips; it has all been smooth sailing.
Mostly because Glenn wants to keep everything in house and close to the vest.
And the NFL schedule makers want the Jets to do the same, as NFL.com's Judy Battista explains with how few prime-time games New York has in 2025.
"After the league spent the past two seasons jamming the Jets into every prominent viewing window, despite results that didn't match the hype, the departure of Aaron Rodgers and the arrival of all-business coach Aaron Glenn mean the volume is about to be lowered on Gang Green's profile," Battista writes. "This season, the Jets play just twice in prime time (Monday night and Thursday night) and have a game in London. Every other scheduled game is slated for the 1 p.m. Sunday window.
"Glenn has said he wants to move in silence -- the schedule-makers gave him a hand."

So there won't be many eyeballs on the Jets in Glenn's first head coaching role, and we think that is just what he wants. Granted, being able to prove yourself in prime time is a good way to get your team exposed to big-time situations, but right now, the Jets aren't seen as prime-time worthy.
That's fine, given how we saw the team play last season, but now Glenn and his coaching staff get to work in the shadows and try to get this team back to playing the sort of football they can be proud of.
After being the main headline for the past two seasons, both for good and bad reasons, the 2025 season will see the Jets move in silence, both in how they go about their business and how many eyeballs are on their games each week.
And after the last two drama-filled seasons, that might not be a bad thing.
