Big Jason Kelce Announcement Made on Friday

There is no doubt that Jason Kelce is one of the greatest centers to ever pick up a football. The Philadelphia Eagles icon's contributions to the sport have been immense, and the fact that he's fully expected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame once he becomes eligible is a testament to this fact.

Now that he's retired from football, the 37-year-old has turned his attention to a new sport. By his own admission, Kelce's love affair with golf has become more and more serious of late, which has ultimately led to a major personal decision on his end.

It was announced on Friday that Kelce has officially joined the Sullivan Country Golf Club as an owner. The golf club, which is located in Liberty, New York, revealed the big news via Instagram.

"We’re excited to formally announce the addition of @jason.kelce to the Sullivan County Golf Club ownership group!" an excerpt from the post read.

The post, which shared a couple of photos of Kelce on the Sullivan County course, also included a quote from Kelce about his big move.

“I’ve been dating golf for a long time, and the relationship was starting to get more serious,” said the seven-time Pro Bowler. “Now we’re making a long-term commitment.”

Kelce joins renowned actor and golf enthusiast Bill Murray in the club's ownership group, along with entrepreneur Mike Madden, who is the son of NFL legend John Madden.

According to the website, Sullivan County Golf Club first opened in 1925. The course underwent an "extensive renovation" last year. The club also announced the addition of a handful of new facilities in time for the start of the 2025 season this month. This includes a new driving range, putting course and restaurant/bar, to name a few.

The club has big plans lined up for the course's 100th anniversary this year--and beyond--and Kelce will now figure significantly in the same.
