Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard is a doubt for the Gunners’ next game against Newcastle United on Sunday.
The Belgian winger suffered a tight hamstring during their last game against Liverpool when Mikel Arteta’s side drew 2-2. He is now being assessed ahead of the Newcastle match, and it is not yet clear as to whether Arteta will feature him or not.
If Trossard does miss the game on Sunday, he will be looking to feature in the Gunners’ last game of the season, which comes against Southampton in a week.
Expected return date – Sunday 18 May vs Newcastle United
Declan Rice
Midfielder Rice didn’t feature during the game against Liverpool as he suffered a hamstring issue during the Gunners’ Champions League defeat to PSG.
Arsenal boss Arteta said at the weekend: “I think he is struggling, it does not look good.” – Rice is currently being assessed, and he is now a doubt for the Newcastle match. It is unlikely that Arteta would risk the midfielder however, and so it’s more likely that he won’t play on Sunday.
Expected return date – Sunday 25 May vs Southampton
Kai Havertz
Havertz is back in full training, and a slight potential to come back from his hamstring injury against Newcastle on Sunday.
He has been out since February, and underwent surgery which initially ruled him out for the rest of the season, it now looks like we are going to see him before the summer.
