Mikel Arteta however, will hope that his side can put on a show in what will be their last home game of the season. They welcome a Newcastle side who are hopeful of securing a top-five spot, qualifying for the Champions League next season.
The Gunners could be without both Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard who picked up knocks recently, plus Mikel Merino will miss the game as he was sent off against Liverpool in their last match.
Newcastle on the other hand will be without key players Joelinton, Sven Botman and Lewis Hall, who have all been ruled out for the rest of the season with injuries.
Arsenal made heavy favourites against the Magpies
Despite the fact that Newcastle have a lot to play for, and Arsenal’s season is all but wrapped up, the bookmakers still see Arteta’s side as the favourites to get three points on Sunday.
According to Oddschecker, Arsenal are 1/1 to win the game, which gives them a 50% chance of victory. Meanwhile, Newcastle are backed at odds of 14/5 (26%), and a draw is backed at 11/4 (27%).
We predict a 3-1 win for Arsenal, who leave the Emirates having put on one more show for the North London faithful on Sunday.
