The England youth international joined Arsenal from Ajax last summer and made his senior debut against Preston in the Carabao Cup.
Setford has also been named on the bench in the Premier League and Champions League as well as featuring for the U21s and the U19s.
He currently has the number 36 shirt but could eventually be allocated a lower number.
It is anticipated that the 19-year-old will be part of the England squad this summer at the U19 European Championship.
