Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has congratulated [Barcelona on winning La Liga](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/barcelona-la-liga/2025/5/15/24428461/espanyol-barcelona-la-liga-final-score-match-report-recap-reactions) and says Hansi Flick’s side deserved the victory.
Barcelona sealed top spot on Thursday night after beating Espanyol 2-0 thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.
Ancelotti says Barcelona were the best team but sounded out a warning ahead of the new campaign.
> “This is part of football, sometimes you can’t get the best out of everyone,” he told a press conference.

> “Barça did very well, and they deserve to be congratulated, because they were more consistent in La Liga and played some very beautiful football. They deserved to win this league. Next year will be a different story.”
Real Madrid will be under new management for next season. Ancelotti is set to leave and take up a post as the manager of the Brazil national team, with Xabi Alonso expected to replace him at the Bernabeu.
