Packers Schedule Tiers: Ranking the Most Anticipated Games Next Season

The NFLschedule is out, and we know the Green Bay Packers’ path through the 2025 regular season. Let’s look at the games and figure out when Packers fans should be glued to the couch and when it may be best to schedule an apple-picking Sunday with your significant other.

Tier 1: Games of the year

Week 1: Packers vs. Lions (3:25 PM)

The first game of the year will always be one of the more exciting games of the season, and the fact that it is a division rivalry at Lambeau makes it even more anticipated.

Week 10: Packers vs. Eagles (MNF)

The rematch of two of the toughest losses from last season (Week 1 in Brazil and theWild Card round), with a chance to get revenge against the reigning Super Bowl Champions on Monday Night Football at Lambeau. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Week 13: Packers @ Lions (Thanksgiving)

Holiday games are not my favorite. I’d prefer to relax and enjoy football and the holiday rather than stress, but that doesn’t change my appetite for this game – and the food afterward.

Tier 2: The best of the rest

Week 2: Packers vs. Commanders (TNF)

Two of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the league in a standalone game. It might’ve been at the top if it were a different primetime slot. However, with it being a Thursday night game early in the season, and both teams coming off divisional games in Week 1, I expect it to be sloppy and ugly, which could make it more fun (or more miserable).

Week 17: Packers vs. Ravens (TBD)

The Baltimore Ravens are one of my favorite teams to watch outside the Packers. Even though this is a non-conference game, it could have major playoff implications for both teams at this point in the season.

Week 6: Packers vs. Bengals (3:25 PM)

If I had to pick the highest-scoring game Green Bay played all year, I’d choose this one. I expect fireworks coming out of the bye week.

Week 18: Packers @ Vikings (TBD)

There’s a chance this game has playoff implications, which would vault it into Tier 1. There’s also the chance that it’s for nothing other than bragging rights. Still, late-season divisional matchups are always highly anticipated.

Tier 3: The other divisional games

Week 16: Packers @ Bears (Saturday)

Depending on where both teams are in the standings, this low of a ranking could look dumb. It’s a standalone game late in the season between division rivals who expect to compete for the division. However, there are a lot of great games on Green Bay’s schedule.

Week 12: Packers vs. Vikings (Noon)

Week 14: Packers vs. Bears (Noon)

Divisional games stuffed into the noon slate aren’t going to be as popular as other games. Still, these two matchups will be highly anticipated.

Tier 4: Fun games but nothing special

Week 15 Packers @ Broncos (3:25 PM)

Two good teams, two great head coaches, and two exciting young quarterbacks. This will be a fun, rare matchup. However, it’s an out-of-conference matchup that doesn’t include Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, or potentially Aaron Rodgers, which makes it a little less meaningful and tempers the draw.

Week 8 Packers @ Steelers (SNF)

The league scheduled this game for SNF, which tells me that the NFL expects Aaron Rodgers to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. If that’s the case, it would be Tier 2. The only thing keeping it from Tier 1 would be that it’s not his return to Lambeau.

Right now, Mason Rudolph is Pittsburgh’s QB1.

Week 4 Packers @ Cowboys (SNF)

Packers vs. Cowboys in Jerry World on Sunday Night Football sounds awesome. However, the Cowboys potentially being a middling team and Mike McCarthy no longer being there suppresses the lore a bit, and there are just better games on Green Bay’s schedule.

Week 7 Packers @ Cardinals (3:25)

I expect the Arizona Cardinals to be a tougher out thanlast season, but there aren’t many storylines surrounding this game.

Tier 5: I’ll have one eye on Red Zone

Week 9 Packers vs. Panthers (Noon)

If Bryce Young can continue the development he showed at the end of last season, this game could become really fun. Still, the Carolina Panthers project to be bad again, especially the defense.

Week 11 Packers @ Giants (Noon)

The New York Giants aren’t expected to be great. If Jaxson Dart is starting by Week 11, that could add some intrigue. However, ultimately, we’re hoping this game is over by halftime.

Week 3 Packers @ Browns (Noon)

As with the Giants, if one of the rookies is starting, it could add some intrigue. But again, we’re hoping this gets put away early.
