The journalist says Williams is a dream target for Arsenal, and Andrea Berta may well push to get a deal done, despite the fact it’s a more expensive deal than Arsenal would like.

Andrea Berta could push to sign Nico Williams
Jacobs shared what he knows about Arsenal’s interest in Nico Williams.
The reporter says that Williams is a dream target for Arsenal, stating that Berta may push to get this transfer over the line, despite how expensive it would be.
“Yeah, Nico Williams for sure, he’s a bit like Isak, a dream target, I think Andrea Berta may push to do that deal even if it is more expensive than Arsenal would like. There’s no issue with the release clause, it’s €58m, but the wages and agent fees are very high, it’s put up Chelsea and Arsenal in the past. If Arsenal go for Williams, the numbers will be the same as they were in previous windows, but it will be Berta maybe influencing the situation and pushing Arsenal to get that one over the line,” Jacobs said.

Mikel Arteta has long liked Nico Williams, and it would appear Berta is also a big fan of the winger.
Williams would be an expensive addition to this Arsenal side, but sometimes you do have to push the boat out and stump up some serious cash if you want to reach that next level.
It would appear Williams is close to the top of Arsenal’s list of targets this summer, and it will be interesting to see if the Gunners are able to get a deal done on this front.
