Heading into the 2025 NFL season, the [Green Bay Packers](https://totalpackers.com) have a very talented all-around roster. However, they also have some questions that need to be answered.
One of those questions will come at the linebacker position.
Quay Walker was drafted with the No. 22 overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. When the Packers made that pick, they expected him to develop into being a star inside linebacker and a leader for the defense. He has shown flashes of being that kind of player, but the consistency has not been there.
In 2025, Walker is facing a very important season. Should he want to stick around in Green Bay long-term, he will need to produce at a high level.
Green Bay Packers’ Former First-Round Pick Receives Brutal 2025 Prediction
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
While there are a lot of high expectations for Walker, there is no guarantee that he’ll live up to them. In fact, he has received a brutal prediction for the upcoming season.
[Matt Holder of Bleacher Report](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25195824-projecting-every-nfl-teams-starting-lineup-2025) has predicted that Walker will not even start in 2025. He believes that Isaiah McDuffie will take over the starting job from him.
Should that prediction become a reality, it would be a massive disappointing for the Packers. Walker is just 25 years old and is just now entering the prime of his career. Seeing him lose out on a starting job would certainly signal the end of his time in Green Bay.
Throughout his first three NFL seasons, Walker has played in a total of 44 games. He has racked up 341 tackles, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, an interception, a defensive touchdown, and 12 defended passes. His production has not been bad at all.
Hopefully, this prediction does not come true and Walker is a key starting piece for the Packers’ defense. If Green Bay wants to be a serious Super Bowl contender, it will need Walker producing at a high level.
