Marc Cucurella won Chelsea's official Star of the Match vote, which you cannot really complain about too much. The supporters vote for who they believe performed the best against Manchester United on Friday evening and they went with the Spaniard, who scored the match-winning goal in the second-half.
Another inspired performance from Cucurella, who has come on leaps and bounds under Enzo Maresca this season. He was not the best player on the pitch, though. That was Moises Caicedo. Again.
Chelsea's newly-crowned Player of the Season shone at Stamford Bridge, dominating the midfield battle and frustrating United when they looked to counter-attack. The way he presses, the regularity with which he wins the ball back, his composure and calmness in possession; it is difficult to fathom that Friday night's match was his 50th appearance of the season for club and country. It defies belief.
Caicedo's statistics in the Premier League this term are rather staggering. He leads the way in the following: possessions won (347), touches (1815), passes (1979), passes completed (1800), short passes (1824), short passes completed (1703) and accurate passes into the final third (265). Still only 23-years-old, on Friday, the midfielder became the first player in the top-flight this season to win 200+ duels, win possession back 200+ times and make 100+ tackles.
It is bemusing he was not even among the nominees for the Premier League's Player of the Season. Caicedo has been the best midfielder in the league this season. Chelsea supporters know it, and you get the feeling the rest of the league are starting - at least - to give the Ecuadorian the credit he so richly deserves.
Maresca could not have hoped for a more complete, all-round midfielder to work with when he entered the door at Cobham last summer. The Italian, unsurprisingly, has been full of praise for the former Brighton man's talents throughout the season, with his comments last month summing up just how significant he is to the Chelsea side.
In this moment, he is one of the best, if not the best, defensive midfielder in the world," Maresca said. "He is doing fantastic. The best thing about Moi is that every day he is working serious. He is very humble, very kind, polite. He is a fantastic guy."
Chelsea go into next weekend's final round of Premier League fixtures with their destiny in their own hands regarding Champions League qualification. And you cannot think of any player more fitting and deserving of playing amongst Europe's elite than Caicedo.
