Chelsea are aiming to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Axel Tape on a free transfer this summer, then send him to RC Strasbourg for the year.

Tape is set to depart PSG at the end of his contract this summer, despite attempts by the Champions League finalists to convince him to stay at the club. The plan is to leave, but where to remains to be seen.
Bayer Leverkusen are in pole position, but Chelsea are one of three Premier League sides who highly value his profile and would like to sign him.
In fact, they have a plan. They would like to sign the youngster then send him on loan to Strasbourg to develop over a season in Ligue 1.
This is something they’ve already done successfully, with several Chelsea youngsters already impressing in Strasbourg’s squad this season. The French side are also owned by BlueCo.
Whether that’s enough to convince Tape into the move to Stamford Bridge remains to be seen, but Chelsea are in the mix for Tape, nonetheless.
