Alix Earle, Girlfriend of Texans WR Braxton Berrios, Reveals Texas Plans

When wide receiver and return specialist Braxton Berrios signed with the Houston Texans in March, it wasn't just him who was going to have to relocate. His girlfriend, social media influencer and model Alix Earle, was naturally along for the ride.

At Thursday's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Launch Party, Earle talked to People Magazine about how the couple is adjusting to southeast Texas and their plans for their first year in Houston.

"I just recently got a pair of red cowboy boots because I was like, 'We have to wear this for a game'," Earle told People.

The 24-year-old was born in Monmouth County, New Jersey and moved to South Florida to attend college at the University of Miami. With Berrios leaving the Miami Dolphins to sign with the Texans, Earle said the couple wanted to find places where they could be comfortable in their new environment.

"Date night spots are really important for Braxton and I — so finding our spots there, our restaurants, finding a coffee spot there was really important," she shared.

Earle also informed the magazine that this doesn't mean she is planning to relocate from Miami, but just set up a new spot in the Lone Star State to support her boyfriend.

In the same interview, she praised the new Texans utilityman for being supportive of her career, telling People Magazine, "He knows I have to travel and can't be with him all the time and he's so supportive of that... I feel like that's kind of hard to find in a guy sometimes."

For Berrios, he joins a Texans wide receiver room that is crowded after leaving the Miami Dolphins. His main role on his new team will likely be on special teams as a return specialist. He missed most of last season after suffering a torn ACL during a Week 7 matchup but is trending towards a return for next season.

If Berrios is healthy, he could play a big part in the Texans' trek for the franchise's first Super Bowl championship.
