Newcastle United standout Alexander Isak is in the transfer rumor mill, and one report reveals that a move to PSG, Barcelona, and Real Madrid is more likely than moving to a Premier League club.
In April, TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, reported that Liverpool remain intent on securing a deal for Isak, especially now that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract.
From the outset, the club’s plan has been to keep Salah at Anfield while also bringing in Isak—and that focus hasn’t shifted.
Bailey also noted that Salah’s extension could make Liverpool a more appealing move for Isak. With Virgil van Dijk also staying, the Redsclearly commit to staying competitive and challenging for trophies.
Nonetheless, if Isak were to leave the Magpies, itwouldn’t be to a Premier League rival.

The Telegraph reports that Isak islikelier to move abroad than join one of Newcastle’s Premier League rivals. The Swedish striker has been linked with Arsenalas well as Liverpool, but Eddie Howe is still intent on keeping him at St James’ Park.
If Newcastleend up needing to sell, clubs like PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelonaare seen as more likely destinations thananywhere else in England.
Newcastle are in a UEFA Champions League spot for next season, but one point separates them from sixth-place Manchester City. Falling outsideof the Champions League with two more matchdays could put them in a challenging spot to keep Isak.
