We anticipated that this season would present a challenging schedule, but there are unfortunate breaks baked into the schedule, particularly concerning their trip to London and their bye week. The Browns had some involvement in this decision, which begs the question about how much information they were given surrounding that choice.
It's also worth noting that aside from their trip to London, the Browns only have to travel outside of the Eastern Time Zone twice: once to Chicago and their sole West Coast trip to Las Vegas.
Managing An Four Quarterback Open Competition With Two Rookies
--------------------------------------------------------------
There has been significant discussion about how the Browns will handle an open four-quarterback competition, especially given the limited reps that anyone outside of the starting quarterback receives during practice sessions, whether in OTAs or training camp.
During rookie mini-camp, we got a glimpse of Stefanski's plan to foster a competitive environment that provides opportunities to develop and evaluate the rookie quarterbacks this spring and summer. The speed at which the quarterbacks worked allowed them to gain more repetitions, and the number of tryout players brought in helped create an environment similar to what they will experience moving forward.
["Yeah, so today we did a couple seven-on-sevens](https://browns.1rmg.com/transcripts/head-coach-kevin-stefanski-5-9-25/), longer seven-on-sevens than we typically have done. And the idea there is just to maximize reps for those guys, you know, what we're trying to do. And that was part of the idea of bringing in some tryout players this weekend. Now, those tryout players are trying to make the football team. They're not just here for practice. I was around a tryout player a few years ago named **[Adam Thielen](https://247sports.com/Player/adam-thielen-76135/)**. So, we're giving these guys every chance they can to put their best foot forward."
