Arsenal vs Newcastle United team news ahead of the Premier League clash at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta’s side need a point to guarantee a top-five finish while Newcastle require three points due to their superior goal difference. Victory would also see the Magpies leapfrog their hosts into second in the Premier League table ahead of the final day clash against Everton at St James’ Park.

Botman took a bang to the knee during the 2-0 win over Chelsea, forcing him to be replaced in the 55th minute.
Joe Willock (Newcastle United) - doubt
Willock sat out against Chelsea due to a knee issue, but Howe says there is a “slight chance” he’ll be involved against Arsenal.
Leandro Trossard (Arsenal) - doubt
Trossard was forced to withdraw against Liverpool with a suspected hamstring issue though like Rice was spotted in training in midweek.
Declan Rice (Arsenal) - doubt
Rice missed last week’s draw at Liverpool with a hamstring issue, though has been spotted in training since.
Kai Havertz (Arsenal) - doubt
Havertz was expected to miss the rest of the season with the hamstring injury he suffered in February, however the German is ahead of schedule in his recovery.
Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United) - out
Trippier will miss a second consecutive game with a calf injury.
Joelinton (Newcastle United) - out
Joelinton hasn’t featured since the 4-1 defeat at Aston Villa last month due to an ongoing knee issue.
Matt Targett (Newcastle United) - out
Targett is sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Lewis Hall (Newcastle United) - out
Hall underwent foot surgery in March and should return in time for the start of the 2025-26 season.
Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal) - out
Jesus has been sidelined since February with an ACL injury.
Takehiro Tomiyasu (Arsenal) - out
Tomiyasu is currently recovering from major knee surgery.
Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal) - out
Gabriel has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
