In 2025, the Green Bay Packers will face seven playoff teams from 2024 and that does not include Cincinnati and Dallas who have been consistent playoff teams the last 5-8 years.
A more in depth look at the 2025 18-week schedule:
Week 1 - home to Detroit (Sunday, Sept. 7, 3:25 pm, CBS)
The Packers start at home for the first time The Packers will start the season at home for the first time since 2018, which was also an NFC North matchup, the classic Rodgers comeback against the Chicago Bears. The last time the Packers played the Lions was in 2005, a 17-3 loss at Ford Field, a game best remembered for Javon Walker injuring his knee for the 2005 season. In recent memory, Lions at Packers to open the season happened in both 1998 and 2001, both were double digit Packers wins. The Packers lead the all-time Det at GB series 62-30-4, which included 23 straight wins from 1992 to 2014.
Week 2 - home to Washington (Thursday Night, Sept 11, 7:20 pm, Amazon)
The Packers will face the Washington Commanders in Week 2, a Thursday Night Football contest. It will be the 8th time in the last 30 years, the Packers play two games at home to start the season, the last time being 2018. The others were: 1994, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2012). The Packers also faced Washington at home in Week 2 back in 2013. Washington (then known as the Redskins) were coming off a playoff appearance in 2012, very similar to their expectations entering 2025. This will be the second time the Packers play on Thursday Night in Week 2, the first being in 2012 when the NFL started playing Thursday games every week of the season. The Packers lead the all-time matchup 22-17-1.
Week 3 - at Cleveland (Sunday, Sept. 21, 12 pm, FOX)
The Packers open on the road with the Cleveland Browns in Week 3. It will be just the third time the Packers travel to Cleveland since the Browns returned to the NFL in 1999. The previous two matchups in Cleveland were both Packers wins, a 31-3 win in 2009 and a 26-20 overtime win in 2017, coming on a Brett Hundley to Davante Adams touchdown catch. The Packers also won the 1995 matchup between the two teams, the last season the old Cleveland Browns would play before being moved to Baltimore and becoming the Ravens. The Packers lead the all-time matchup 13-7.
Week 4 - at Dallas (Sunday Night, Sept. 28, 7:20 pm, NBC)
The Packers return the site of both their last playoff win and their Super Bowl win. It will be the sixth meeting between the Packers and Cowboys inside AT&T Stadium, with the Packers winning the previous five games, including two playoff contests. The Packers wins were in 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2023. The last time the Cowboys were victorious in a Packers at Cowboys game was in 2007, which was Brett Favre’s last start at the Cowboys. This will be the first time the Packers play in Dallas on Sunday Night Football, with NBC getting rights to those games in 2006. The two teams did play twice on NBC’s “SNF” twice at Lambeau Field, back in 2008 and 2010.The Packers lead the all-time series 22-17, including a 5-4 record in 9 playoff meetings.
Week 5 - Bye
The earliest bye since 2023, which was in Week 6. The Packers also had Week 5 byes in 2009 and 2020, as well as Week 4 byes in 2013 and 2016.
Week 6 - home to Cincinnati (Sunday, Oct. 12, 3:25 pm, CBS)
The Packers host the Bengals in Week 6, the 4th meeting between the two teams since 1995 at Lambeau Field. The Packers won the 1995 and 2017 games, with the Bengals winning in 2009. The two teams also played an early season game at Lambeau Field in 1992, which was the game where Brett Favre took over for an injured Don Majkowski. Of the last nine Packers-Bengals matchups, this will mark the 8th being played in either September or October. The two teams are tied 7-7 in all-time matchups.
Week 7 - at Arizona (Sunday, Oct. 19, 3:25 pm, FOX)
The Packers travel to Arizona to play the Cardinals for the first time since 2021, which was a 28-24 win, also played in late October. It was the second Packers win in State Farm Stadium, a stadium that opened in 2006. The Cardinals had won the previous three Packers at Cardinals games, which included two overtime playoff wins in 2009 and 2015. The Packers had one of their most impressive wins of 2024, a Week 6, 34-13 win over the Cardinals, highlighted by a career-high four touchdown passes from Jordan Love. The Packers lead the all-time series 47-26-4, which includes three playoff meetings.
Week 8 - at Pittsburgh (Sunday Night, Oct. 26, 7:20 pm, NBC)
There’s a chance this will be one of the marquee games of the 2025 schedule, if a certain quarterback ends up signing with the Steelers in the next few months. And if that quarterback is healthy enough to play in the game in late October. Ironically, it would be the first Packers at Steelers game to feature Aaron Rodgers since 2009. The last two times the Packers played in Pittsburgh, the starting quarterbacks were Brett Hundley (2017) and Jordan Love (2023). The 2017 contest was also on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. The Packers are 0-3 in Acrisure Stadium (more famously known as Heinz FIeld), all three losses coming in the final seconds. The last two times the Packers won in this matchup were in Super Bowl XLV and a home win in 2021. The Packers lead the all-time matchup 20-17, which includes winning the only Super Bowl meeting between the two storied franchises.
Week 9 - home to Carolina (Sunday, Nov. 2, 12 pm, FOX)
The Week 9 meeting will be the 9th matchup between the Packers and Panthers at Lambeau Field, with the Packers winning six of the eight, including the last three. The last time the Packers won an NFC Championship game at Lambeau was against the Panthers, the first game between the two franchises. A likely Jordan Love vs Bryce Young matchup would be the second of their young careers, with the first coming in late December 2023, where Jordan Love led his game-winning drive in the final minute. The Packers won the game 33-30. They lead the all-time series 12-6.
Week 10 - home to Philadelphia (Monday Night, Nov. 10, 7:15 pm, ABC/ESPN)
The Packers and Eagles play their first Monday Night game at Lambeau FIeld since 2003, which was also played on November 10. The Eagles won that game 17-14 on a rainy night, which was highlighted by Ahman Green’s then team-record 192 yards rushing. The Packers are 3-2 in home games against the Eagles since that game, with wins in 2007, 2014 and 2020, and losses in 2013 and 2019. It will be a rematch of last season’s wild card playoff game, won by the Eagles 22-10. The Packers lead the all-time series 28-20, which includes four playoff games, all being played in Philadelphia (1960, 2003, 2010, 2024).
Week 11 - at New York Giants (Sunday, Nov. 16, 12 pm, FOX)
The Packers travel to New York to play the Giants at MetLife Stadium for the sixth time since the stadium opened in 2010. The Packers have wins in 2011 and 2019, and losses in 2012, 2013 and 2023. The Packers have two more wins in the stadium over the Jets in 2010 and 2018. Jordan Love had an up-and-down performance two years ago in a 24-22 loss. He led the go-ahead touchdown drive, with a touchdown pass to Malik Heath, but also had two turnovers in the first half. The Packers lead the all-time series 34-28-2, which includes 8 playoff games. The most recent three were played at Lambeau Field in 2007, 2011 and 2016.
Week 12 - home to Minnesota (Sunday, Nov. 23, 12 pm, FOX)
The Packers play their first divisional game since Week 1 when the Vikings come to Lambeau Field in Week 12. Jordan Love is 0-2 in his first two home games against the Vikings. It will be the first November Packers/Vikings game at Lambeau Field since 2020, which was a 28-22 Vikings win. The Packers lead the all-time series 66-60-3, and are 35-28-3 in home games against the Vikings. Both of the team’s postseason meetings were played at Lambeau Field, a 31-17 loss in 2004 and a 24-10 win in 2012.
Week 13 - at Detroit (Thursday, Nov. 27, 12 pm, FOX)
The Packers travel to Detroit for Thanksgiving for the 8th time in the last 25 years. The Packers are 5-2 in the previous seven games with wins in 2001, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2023, and losses in 2003 and 2013. It will be the third straight year the Packers play on Thanksgiving, playing the Lions two years ago and the Dolphins at home last year. Jordan Love is 2-0 in those two Thanksgiving games. The recent series between the Packers and Lions has been controlled by the Lions, winning six of the eight games going back to the start of 2021. The Lions lead the all-time GB at Det series, 48-44-3.
Week 14 - home to Chicago (Sunday, Dec. 8, 12 pm, FOX)
The first Packers Bears game comes in December, the first time this has happened since 1998. Just like in 1998, the Packers and Bears will play twice over the span of three weeks. Under Matt LaFleur, the Packers are 11-1 against the Bears, with the lone win for the Bears coming in Week 18 last season. Currently, the Packers will host the Bears at Noon, which recently, has happened often. In the last 20 years, the only Bears at Packers Noon kickoffs have come in 2008, 2019 and 2024. The Packers lead the all-time series in home games at 53-43-4.
Week 15 - at Denver (Sunday, Dec. 14, 3:25 pm, FOX)
The Packers return to Denver for the second time in three years. This is the extra AFC team the Packers play, as they play the third-place team from the AFC West. The two teams last faced in 2023, where a Jordan Love comeback attempt came up short, with a late-game interception, resulting in a 19-17 Broncos win. The Packers have just one win in Denver in the last 30 years, which was a 26-20 overtime win in 2007. In that time span they have losses in 1999, 2015 and 2023. The Broncos lead the all-time GB at Den series 8-1, which includes Super Bowl XXXII, since the Packers were the visiting team in that game.
Week 16 - at Chicago (Saturday, Dec. 20, Time TBD, FOX)
The second Packers-Bears meeting in three weeks will come on a Saturday in late December. It is rare the Packers have played on a Saturday in the last 30 years. They hosted the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 on a Saturday, resulting in a 31-10 win. The other Saturday games are: 2016 home against Minnesota, 2020 home against Carolina, 2021 home against Cleveland. The 2016 and 2021 games were when Christmas Eve and Christmas Day fell on the weekend.
The Packers look to continue its dominance at Soldier Field over the Bears. The Packers have won the last five games at Soldier Field and dating back to when Brett Favre took over in 1992, they are a remarkable 28-6 in games played in Illinois, including the 2010 NFC Championship win. The Packers lead the road series with the Bears 55-53-2.
Week 17 - home to Baltimore (Saturday, Dec. 27 or Sunday, Dec. 28, Time/TV TBD)
The Packers play host to the Baltimore Ravens for just the fifth time. The Ravens, who came into the league in 1995, won the previous Lambeau Field matchup. Their 23-0 win was the last time the Packers were shut out, which came against Brett Hundley, who was filling in for Aaron Rodgers. The Packers won the first three home games against the Ravens, with wins coming in 1998, 2001 and 2009. There’s a chance the Packers play back-to-back Saturday games, with this game being to be determined for both Date and TV. The Packers lead the all-time series 5-2, winning the 2021 meeting 31-30, a game where Lamar Jackson did not play.
Week 18 - at Minnesota (Sunday, Jan. 4, Time/TV TBD)
For the first time since 2015, the Packers finish the season against the Vikings. In 2010, the league decided to have all divisional matchups in the final week of the season, and for the Packers, playing the Vikings has been the last common matchup. The only other time since 2010, the Packers finished the season in Minnesota was in 2012, which was a 37-34 loss, which cost the Packers a bye in the 2012 playoffs. Since 2016, when U.S. Bank Stadium opened in Minneapolis, the Vikings have six of the nine matchups. The Packers wins came in 2019, 2020 and 2023. The 2019 and 2023 wins were both in the second-to-last games of the season. In away games, the Vikings lead the series 32-31.
